PEN15

In this coming-of-age comedy, the creators star as 13-year-old versions of themselves. This makes certain mature scenes way less awkward than if they were portrayed by actual teens. Endearing relatability, honest humor, and heavy doses of 90’s nostalgia will have you binging straight through this show (and remembering the dark days when you couldn’t pause for a snack break).

Little Fires Everywhere

This brand-new drama stars Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington, so you know it boasts excellent acting chops. Little Fires Everywhere offers an honest look at a layered relationship between mother and daughter, the complexities between a well-off white woman and the African American woman she employs, and the realities of privilege in our society. This show is for anyone who wants to start a rich and thought-provoking series.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians

An absolute classic cornerstone of reality TV, this khaotic show has been on the air for 18 seasons. It makes for perfect Hulu binge-watching because you’ll never run out of episodes (and things can get pretty ridiculous in the KUWTK reality). There’s no better entertainment than watching Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe fight about Met Gala dresses or whose the “least interesting to look at.” For more guilty pleasure entertainment, read Kris Jenner’s tell-all memoir or one of the many books examining just how the Kardashians took over the world.

Parks and Recreation

Parks and Rec is brilliant for so many reasons, but most of all that it combines Amy Poehler, Nick Offerman, Aubrey Plaza, and pre-Marvel Chris Pratt. A must-binge for any fan of The Office, this satirical sitcom revolves around local politics but always feels fresh. It’s guaranteed to make you laugh, smile, and be inspired by what can be accomplished by one very hard-working woman. (Bonus: Make sure to snag this tee to rep Parks and Rec band Mouse Rat.)

Killing Eve

There’s a reason this show is such an awards show favorite, receiving critical acclaim globally. Killing Eve follows Sandra Oh as a British intelligence investigator tasked with capturing a psychopathic assassin. Filled with drama, suspense, and action, this is one show that promises to never get boring. And now is the best time to start watching: it’s been renewed for 2 new seasons and season 3 premieres on April 12.

The Bachelor Franchise

Another reality TV juggernaut, this is ideal binge-watching television because it makes such an effective escape. Get invested in the relationships that bloom in the unreal world of The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise and you’ll forget about whatever’s been stressing you in real life. This franchise has one of the most hardcore fan bases in the world. Bachelor Nation is a great source of memes and online references that you’ll be in on. There’s even a behind-the-scenes book on the Bachelor universe!

Catfish

Catfish provides an ideal balance of reality TV drama, entertainment, and plain disbelief. Follow hosts Nev and Max as they take off across the US to investigate alleged cases of catfishing online. You’ll get just as invested in figuring out the truth of these relationships as the participants do. Sometimes you’ll even face crushing disappointment as they find out their online love is, in fact, a catfish.

Adventure Time

If you’re looking to smile, laugh, and feel like a kid again, there’s literally no better pick to binge on Hulu. Light-hearted and whimsical, Adventure Time can be enjoyed at any age. Join best friends Jake and Finn go on endless journeys across the magical Land of Ooo. Along the way, they run into and befriend a wide cast of quirky fantasy characters. You can adventure from the comfort of your own home, forgetting about your problems with each episode. Once you fall in love with the characters, you can even read Adventure Time comics for more fun!

Shrill

A comedy series starring Saturday Night Live favorite Aidy Bryant, Shrill revolves around a young fat woman who wants to change her life without changing her body. Bryant’s character faces many of the struggles we all do in young adulthood: juggling career aspirations, crappy boyfriends, and a struggling family. Incredibly honest, this show examines what it means to embrace ourselves when the world doesn’t.
