Where Are They Now: The Cast of Hannah Montana
Hannah Montana remains one of the most successful Disney Channel shows ever made. Starring Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana followed the life of teenager Miley Stewart, who kept her career as pop star Hannah Montana a secret so she could continue to live a normal life. It’s been a while since the series finished, so it’s a good time to check with the rest of the cast to see what everyone’s been doing since filming.

Miley Cyrus was one of the most iconic Disney celebrities of the early 2000’s. After her time on Hannah Montana, Cyrus worked on a few acting projects such as Bolt, LOL, So Undercover, and The Last Song.
In 2012 Cyrus cut her signature long brown hair in favor of a short blonde pixie cut. Her style and image were forever changed. She released her record Bangerz, following hit singles “Can’t Be Tamed” and “23”. Her new music showed obvious hip hop and dance music influences, and many critiqued her flashy transition to adulthood. While she did release some interesting music videos such as “Wrecking Ball” and “We Can’t Stop”, and had one of the most talked about MTV Video Music Awards in history, Cyrus did well commercially. She also released Miley and Her Dead Pets, a free album available on SoundCloud that hints to her transition into a vegan lifestyle.
Miley seemed to calm down from her Bangerz era and released Younger Now and She Is Miley Cyrus while joining The Voice as a host. She also joined the world of philanthropy by starting the Happy Hippie foundation, an organization committed to ending homelessness in LGBT youth.
Cyrus recently ended her decade long relationship with Chris Hemsworth, and is rumored to be dating another former Disney star Cody Simpson
Emily Osment (Lilly Truscott)
After starring as Lilly, Miley’s best friend in Hannah Montana, Emily Osment focused more on her music career. She released Fight or Flight in 2010, an electropop and synthpop style album. Her most notable acting role was Taylor Hillridge in controversial movie Cyberbully, an ABC Family movie about online bullying and harassment.
Jason Earles (Jackson Stewart)
Jason Earles was significantly older than the rest of the cast; he was 29 playing the 16 year old brother of Miley on Hannah Montana. After the series ended, he starred in his own series Kickin’ It on Disney XD.
Mitchel Musso (Oliver Oken)
Musso was much involved with Disney Channel after filming Hannah Montana as Oliver, Lilly’s boyfriend and Miley’s best friend. He starred in the series Pair of Kings and became the host of Prankstars, Disney’s take on a hidden camera reality show. Unfortunately, these shows were cancelled when he was arrested for a DUI at age 20.
Moises Arias (Rico Suave)
Rico, the surf shop owner/antagonist was one of the most beloved characters on Hannah Montana. After finishing the series, Arias has no problem breaking into the post-Disney world of film with roles in notable movies such as the Stanford Prison Experiment, Pitch Perfect 3, The Wall of Mexico, Monos, and the King of Staten Island. He is currently filming his upcoming project, Samaritan.
