Snowman Brownie Balls Recipe

These cute snowman brownies are fun to make and allow lots of creativity, perfect holiday treat!

Calling all chocolate lovers, these fudgy brownie balls dipped in white chocolate will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth. An army of adorable little snowmen will amaze your guests.

They’re super festive and are guaranteed to be a hit. Step up the holiday dessert game from store-bought Christmas cookies to handmade decorated brownie balls.

Customize each one to make them more personable and unique. Make them all the same or make an assortment, they’ll still be devoured in seconds.

I personally think the more different they are, the more special. Boys and girls with different facial expressions, some tall and some short, some fat and some thin. They will be loved all the same!

This recipe can be a Christmas dessert, a general winter dessert, or even replace cookies for Santa dare I say such a thing. It’s a perfect fun activity to do with your kids, teaching them how to bake and letting them express their creativity.

Easier than bundling the kids up to make a snowman outside, make the snowmen in the kitchen!

“Snowman Brownie Balls” INGREDIENTS:

To build your snowmen you will need:

  • Brownie Mix: The fudgier the better, it is easier to form a firm ball and hold it together.
  • White Candy Melts: Using candy melts is the best for dipping and covering something in it. There’s the option to use white chocolate chips for a different flavor but they may not be as easy to dip in.
  • Black Edible Pearls: These will be used to put a smile on the snowman’s face as well as eyes and buttons.
  • Candy Carrots: These may be hard to come across so you can also use orange chocolate covered sunflower seeds
  • Tootsie Rolls: use the junior size, not the minis.

How To Make Snowman Brownie Balls:

1. Bake the brownies as directed by the box.

2. Roll brownies into 1 inch balls once they are cooled off. Option to make different size brownie balls for snowmen with bigger bases than heads.

3. Chill balls for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.

4. Stack 2-3 brownie balls onto a cake pop stick. If using different size brownie balls, put the smaller ball on first so that the snowman sits on the largest ball and the stick comes out of their head.

5. Cut the tootsie roll into 1/4 inch slices longways. Roll the slices lightly with your hands to clean up the rough edges.

6. Melt the candy melts in the microwave or in a candy melter.

7. Dip the brownie balls into the melted candy and let the excess candy drip off.

8. Sit the brownie balls on parchment paper.

9. Add the candy accents before the candy melt dries. Place the black pearls on the snowman to make a face and buttons. Add your candy carrots or sunflower seed for the nose. Stick the rolled tootsie rolls into the sides as arms and shape them however you like.

10. Let the snowmen set until they are dry (at least 20 minutes).

More Ideas:

Black icing can be used instead of black candy pearls if needed, but it may not look as clean.

Pretzels can be used as arms as well and would be beneficial if you want a salty crunch to even out the sweetness. Either way, these will be delicious!
