A 6-Step Guide to the Prettiest Summer Makeup Look
We have officially entered the warmest months of the year which also happens to be my favorite. I am so excited to share some of my favorite walmart make up picks with you and help you create a beautiful summer look!
The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and we’re spending more time outside. This has left us trying to figure out how to ditch the sweaty summer look and keep ourselves fresh-faced and dewy instead. Luckily, Walmart has our back and carries everything you need for the prettiest summer makeup look.
Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean we have to ditch makeup altogether, but it does mean we should change up our routine a little bit. The key is for your makeup routine to look and feel effortless. It really is all about enhancing that natural, sun-kissed beauty you already have, especially in the summer.
Here is my best summer makeup routine that will have you feeling dewy, flawless, and ready to take on the summer (without all your makeup melting off your face). The best part is that you can pick up all these products at Walmart!

Step 1:
To start, let’s hydrate. The Elf+ Dewy Coconut Refreshing Mist says it’s a finishing spray on the bottle, but the delicious coconut scent and its dewy glow has us starting and finishing our summer makeup routine with a few generous spritzes. This will keep you looking and feeling like your most hydrated self.
Step 2:
Next up is a light-coverage foundation – because it’s all about looking naturally beautiful (are you sensing a theme here yet?). Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream tinted moisturizer is perfect for summer with its natural-looking coverage. It’s also SPF 30 to protect your skin from harmful UV rays.
Step 3:
Now let’s talk eyeshadow. The Stila Perfect Me Perfect Hue eye and cheek palette is the ultimate palette you’ll want in your makeup collection this summer. The pinks and tans will look beautiful not only in your eyeshadow look, but also on your face as blush. This method will tie your look together (because who doesn’t love a multipurpose makeup product?). Finish those eyes off with a few swipes of L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara and consider your eye look complete.
Step 4:
Bronzer – the classic summer staple. Bronzer helps you look sun-kissed even if you haven’t gotten a ton of time in the sun. This matte bronzer will give you an extra pop of color that will have you looking elevated from bare-faced, but still natural.
Step 5:
The best part of a summer makeup look is the glow. We’re going for the dewy look. We want it to seem like we’ve been outside in the sun without having sweaty, half-melted, cakey makeup. You can put on L’Oreal’s True Match Glotion liquid highlighter as heavily or lightly as you like. Then, just sit back and enjoy your perfect summer glow.
Step 6:
Last up is lips. Milani’s Keep it Full nourishing lip plumper will have you looking like you’ve been enjoying fresh strawberries all day. The perfect pink tint ties in beautifully with the pinks on the eyelids and cheeks.
