All you have to do in advance is make sure your hair is clean, dry and combed beforehand. The  Curl Secret should be held straight as you guide your hair into the chamber. It has built in safety features to make sure your hair doesn’t get tangled within the styler. Cleaning is also a breeze with the easy-twist-chamber cleaning tool. This styler was designed with the user in mind. Everything about its innovative form works beautifully.

Here are the steps for using it.  I narrowed it down to 8 simple steps!

1. Brush out your hair.  It needs to be straight or at least natural so the pieces will fit into the Curl Secret.

2. Separate your hair into layers…you will have a different number of layers depending on how thin or thick your hair is.

3.  The Curl Secret does use heat to achieve your curls so make sure you protect your hair with your favorite heat protecting products.

4. Okay, let’s get started. 🙂 You will want to put about 1/2 in to 1in. of hair into the curl secret each time.

5. For spiral or tighter curls, choose the heat setting and the 10 or 12 second timer.  For a looser curl or wave, use the low setting for 8 or 10 seconds.  The timer will beep for you.

6.  After it beeps release the curl and watch it bounce.  Then repeat!

7. After you finish the first layer you will unclip the others and move on.

8.  When your hair is completed with the curl secret I highly recommend a finishing spray.
