Here is all that you need to know about the movie “This Is The Year”:
Premiere Information
The digital premiere of “This Is The Year” will be held on August 28th at 4:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. There will be a pre-show party featuring David Henrie and Selena Gomez, a live Q & A hosted by TikTokers Charli & Dixie D’Amelio, and a live performance from lovelytheband. The Premise
A nerdy high school senior tries to win over his dreamgirl by going on a road trip to see their favorite band at a music festival. But, of course, there are a few roadblocks along the way. This film is inspired by classic 80s movies, but with a contemporary twist. Additionally, it will have a fantastic soundtrack and iconic moments that you don’t want to miss.
Cast
“This Is The Year” stars Lorenzo James Henrie, who is David Henrie’s younger brother. It also features Vanessa Marano from “Switched at Birth” and “Gilmore Girls” fame. Other cast members include Jake Short, Alyssa Jirrels, and Jeff Garlin from “The Goldbergs.” There will also be a few cameos from well known Disney faces such as Gregg Sulkin and Laura Marano.
Selena Gomez and David Henrie
David Henrie wrote and directed “This Is The Year.” Also, Selena Gomez served as the executive producer of the film. We’re glad these two are still in touch and even made a movie together! Gomez says the movie will “give you all the feels. With all the craziness going on in the world, a feel-good movie is just what we need.” We so agree!
