When it comes to the Fourth of July, I’m always looking for something easy, festive, and totally delicious to bring to the table.
This American Flag S’mores Dip checks all the boxes and then some!

It’s gooey, chocolatey, full of patriotic charm, and comes together in under 15 minutes.
Plus, no need for a campfire, just your oven and a few simple ingredients.
Ingredients You'll Need

- Baking dish
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 21 large marshmallows, cut in half (42 halves)
- Red sprinkles

- Blue sprinkles
- Graham crackers, for dipping
How to Make It
1. Preheat your oven to 450°F. This dessert bakes fast, so getting the oven ready first is key.

2. Layer your chocolate chips. Grab an 8x8 baking dish or small oven-safe skillet and pour in 2 cups of chocolate chips. Spread them out evenly across the bottom.
3. Prepare your marshmallows. Cut marshmallows in half to give them a sticky side for dipping sprinkles.

4. Now the fun part! Dip about 9 marshmallow halves into blue sprinkles. Dip another 18 halves into red sprinkles. Then leave the remaining ones plain white. When they are cut in half they will stick to the sprinkles so make sure to dip the sticky side.
5. Arrange your marshmallows into a flag. Start by placing the blue sprinkle marshmallows in the top left corner to form the “stars” section of the flag. Think 3 rows by 3 marshmallows.

6. Then alternate rows of red and white marshmallows across the rest of the dish to create the stripes. You’ll probably get about 4–5 rows total depending on your dish size.
7. Bake. Pop the dish into the oven and bake for 7 to 9 minutes, keeping a close eye toward the end. You want the marshmallows to puff up and just barely start to brown.

8. Serve with graham crackers. Once it’s out of the oven, let it cool for a minute or two, then dig in with graham crackers for dipping!
Tips
- Don’t overbake. Marshmallows can go from golden to burnt quickly—7 minutes is usually my sweet spot.

- Use fresh marshmallows for the best puff and texture.
- You can customize the flag layout depending on your dish shape—no need for it to be perfect, it’s still going to look festive and fun!

- Try using different chocolate chips (like milk or dark) if you want to switch up the flavor.
