How does the Anova Precision Cooker work?

The Anova Precision Cooker is a completely sealed system with an embedded heater, so all you have to do is attach it to a pot and set the time and temperature on your phone. When your food is ready, it’ll notify you! No more overcooked or undercooked food!

What kind of pots work with the Anova Precision Cooker?

The Anova Precision Cooker works best in a 6-8 liter water bath, but will still work well in larger containers. I have even used the cooker in my large stock pot when doubling recipes. The only type of pot that doesn’t work with the Anova is one that isn’t conductive, like a ceramic or glass pot.

How long does it take to cook food?

The time it takes to cook your food will depend on how much you’re cooking and what type of food you are preparing. Don’t worry, though – there’s an app for that! In general, expect your food to cook approximately 1-2 hours or more if you plan on pasteurizing.

What can I cook?

Anything! Whether you’re a beginner in the kitchen or a master chef – the Precision Cooker can be used for anything from eggs and fish to meats and veggies and even desserts. Below is one of my favorite holiday recipes made using the Precision Cooker!

Precision Cooker Cheeesey Corn Recipe:

I love using the Anova Precision Cooker to make my favorite side dish during the holiday season, my favorite cheesy corn!

• 1/2 stick of butter
• 1 Can of whole kernel sweet corn, drained
• 1 tsp. garlic powder
• Dash of black pepper
• Pinch of salt
• 2 cups grated cheddar cheese

1. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, corn kernels, garlic powder, salt and pepper – stir well to mix thoroughly.

2. Pour the mixture into the sealed bag. I used the Anova Precision Vacuum Sealer.

3. Place the Anova Precision Cooker in your pot of water and set to 135F for 30 minutes. Once the timer is done, carefully remove the dish from your cooking vessel with oven mitts or tongs and let rest 10 minutes before serving.

This recipe is perfect for holiday entertaining and is the perfect side dish for your next holiday meal!
