Ashley Graham is an accomplished model, but now she is also a mom! Fans of the body positivity activist have followed Ashley and her journey to motherhood, and now she is sharing her feelings!
Thanks to E! News’ Daily Pop this past Tuesday Feb 9, here is the scoop on how Ashley Graham is dealing with postpartum snapback pressure.
Ashley Graham Talks Motherhood
Ashley Graham talked with E! News’ Carissa Culiner about everything from modeling to motherhood.
While discussing her first full year being a mom, Graham shared that she’s learned “a lot about love.”
Ashley further explained, “It taught me a lot about patience, how selfless being a parent is, and truly, how I don’t really need that much space to operate during the day.”
Staying Positive Through Postpartum Pressures
As a model who is known for promoting body positivity, keeping such a healthy mindset can be tough.
Ashley explained how she keeps her positive mindset. She said, “For me, it’s all about words and affirmation. I know that my words have so much power over my life and my future that I’m very careful with how I use them.”
Graham also shared her appreciation for the strength of women’s bodies, calling them “amazing.”
As for the pressure for women to snapback after giving birth, Graham said “I think the postpartum snapback is really B.S. I think it’s an unattainable reality for most women and it’s been an unattainable reality for myself.”
Ashley Graham also shared a favorite product she uses to stay feeling tan and beautiful. The model is a brand ambassador for St. Tropez self tanner. She said, “It’s all about the ultimate glow and the self-tanner. And for me, it’s also about, like, making sure everything’s covered. You know, you need to cover everything and then you’ve got the great naked selfie.”
The model’s fans are excited to watch Ashley continue to thrive and watch her baby boy grow up!
