Bachelor Nation Welcomes Lauren and Arie’s Twins
Bachelor Nation just increased by two! Former star of The Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. and his wife Lauren Burnham Luyendyk recently welcomed twins into the world. From The Bachelor, to marriage, to one child and now 3, this love story has been quite eventful!

Meet Lauren and Arie’s Twins
This Bachelor Nation couple are now the proud parents of three! Lauren gave birth to a son and a daughter on June 11, 2021.
Lauren and Arie’s Twins make their Instagram debut in a post featuring Lauren and the two new babies. He writes, “Never been prouder of my wife than in this moment. She is the strongest woman I know, and I’m lucky to be on this incredible journey with her. We are proud parents of a healthy boy and girl!”
On his Instagram story, Arie first announced the delivery saying, “@Luyendyktwins are here! Momma and babies are doing great and everything went smoothly. Spending time cherishing these moments, thank you all for all the support.”
The birth of their twins also comes after the couple previously suffered a miscarriage, so it is extra special.
Back in May, Lauren spoke to Us weekly where she opens up about expecting twins.
She says, “I’ve heard twins are especially difficult because you’re not sleeping as much as with a newborn. One will wake up and want to eat, and then they’ll wake the other one up and they’ll want to eat at the same time. I just see that going downhill really fast.”
While two new babies will no doubt be an adjustment, Lauren and Arie both seem very happy!
Coming Home
On Tuesday June 15, Lauren reveals that she and her baby boy are coming home, but her little girl is not quite ready.
She shares on her Instagram story that, “today is bittersweet…we get to leave the hospital…but little sis has to stay behind for now.” She also adds, “I’ve never felt heartbreak like this” and asks fans to “say prayers for our girl.”
At home, Arie introduced the couple’s 2 year old daughter Alessi to her new baby brother. In an Instagram post Ari shared photos of Alessi holding her baby brother with the caption, “Already loves her brother so much.”
To his followers he adds, “Thank you everyone for the kind words and for those that watched our vlog on YouTube. Emotional few days but Alessi meeting her little brother today was cuter than words could describe. We’ll post more soon just resting.”
Their Bachelor Story
Arie Luyendyk stars in season 22 of The Bachelor. Lauren appears as a contestant on the season where she came in 2nd as the runner-up to the winner Becca Kufrin. However, after proposing to Becca, Arie later breaks up with her to go back to Lauren and ask for another chance.
Even though Arie and Becca have a very messy breakup, it is all for the best. Arie and Lauren married in January 2019 and welcomed their daughter Alessi in May of that same year. The former bachelor seems incredibly happy with his growing family and so happy to welcome twins.
