Baywatch Movie is an ABS-olute Must See

Baywatch was actually a way for me to “Bae” watch my one true love, Zac Efron. A fan since High School Musical, it’s a must that I see every movie he stars in. Baywatch starts with a laugh out loud intro, then jumps straight into an adrenaline filled story line. Zac Efron plays Matt Brody, a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist (no surprise here), while Dwayne Johnson is our new Hasslehoff. The Baywatch lifeguards are on a mission to save lives and keep the beach safe until they realize something bigger is going on. In all their power as lifeguards, they race against time to take down enemy Victoria Leeds, played by Priyanka Chopra. Along the way, we get to see Efron and Johnson poke fun at each other in this hilarious action packed comedy.

With the lifeguards as the main characters, all but one seem to be chiseled and bronzed. Odd ball Ronnie, played by Jon Bass, adds comic relief when needed and shows the underdog playing hero at times. I found myself sympathizing for him at his miserable ability to flirt with girls. There were also moments I found myself bracing my seat, anxious to see what would happen next. Fireworks and explosions fill the ending, and even a little romance is seen from a couple of the characters. We even get an appearance from David Hasslehoff and Pamela Anderson, the original Baywatch duo.

Although it’s not suitable for kids, it’s an action packed movie full of cringe worthy humor. Plus there is a ton of abs and muscles to keep your eyes fixed on. Girls in bikinis flaunt the beach, and even reminded me I need to start working on my summer bod. Overall, I enjoyed Baywatch and had a great time watching it! Look for it in theaters and make it a date night, or grab your girlfriends and prepare for a night full of laughter and slap stick comedy!
