“Nothing lasts forever, but also I think there won’t be another Bachelor season I think it’ll end after Michelle,” Hortsmann said.
The Upcoming Bachelorette Seasons
Katie Thurston and Michelle Young will both take on the role as the Bachelorette with their own seasons. Bachelor Nation fans will all get to see their leading ladies passing out roses this summer and fall.
They will be filmed back to back and each lady will get their own season. According to Reality Steve, “the decision was made due to Michelle Young’s busy schedule. As a schoolteacher, she didn’t want to miss out on the rest of the year with her class.”
Blake Hortsmann Prediction
As Hortsmann shared, “I think it’ll end after Michelle.” Referring to her season of the Bachelorette. If he is correct the fall season would be the last season.
He knows fans will not necessarily agree or understand his “hot take” on the situation, but does offer an explanation.
“Whether you think it’s right, wrong, whatever your stance is on the [Chris Harrison scandal] — I think it drove away a lot of loyal fans and viewers.”
Hortsmann explains that without those fans and viewers the ratings will be effected. “They’re really not going to watch the show. Ratings are going to plummet.”
He Has No Regrets About Speaking Up
Blake may be making a big statement on his Instagram stories, but in the past he has had no regrets about speaking up.
Reflecting on his own experiences he has no regrets about sharing the text messages after Paradise. He told Us on our “Here for the Right Reasons” podcast “I don’t regret it. I’ll never really apologize for that. I’m never gonna regret [or] apologize for defending myself.”
He explains why he doesn’t regret the drama that went down between with his Bachelor In Paradise situation by comparing his situation to Rachael Kirkconnell.
“Do I wish that situation would have never happened, do I wish there was any other way? I mean, the way I look at is — remember how it this season, Rachael, like, they wouldn’t let Rachael put out a statement.“
Will Blake Be On Bachelor In Paradise Again?
When asked about regrets it is clear that he has grown over the years, “Oh gosh, for a long time, I did. But now, not really. I’ve become very passionate about mental health; we’re able to help a lot of people. I’ve kind of embraced that role in Bachelor Nation, which has been pretty fun and pretty.”
He realizes things happen for a reason and is happy for his former love interest, “And at the end of the day, like, all those people that were, like, ‘hurt’ by me, they’re freaking all happy and engaged or in relationships. So, it’s like, had I not gone down there, would it have happened the way it did? I don’t know. So no, I don’t necessarily regret it.”
“I’ve talked to some of these guys and, like, let’s just say it’s gonna be an interesting Paradise,” he shared with no mention of joining the cast this season. “Everybody’s talking to everybody already. And I’m like, ‘Have you guys learned nothing for me?’”
He shared his advice saying, “Like, don’t do anything for six months! Especially because it’s a weird filming schedule this year because of COVID, you know, because normally [Bachelorette] guys wouldn’t meet any of them because they go straight to Paradise.”
End of the Bachelor Franchise
As mentioned, Blake shared on his instagram stories that the Bachelor franchise will be ending in just a few seasons. “Nothing lasts forever,” are his thoughts and for if Hortsmann is right, “there won’t be another Bachelor season I think it’ll end after Michelle.”
