Bob Saget and The Olsen Twins Are Still Friends Despite The Sisters’ Choice Not To Star In ‘Fuller House’
When rumors of Netflix’s Fuller House (a reboot of the wildly popular 90’s sitcom) started spreading, fans were a mixed bag. Some were ecstatic to catch up with these iconic characters and others were wary that the new show couldn’t possibly live up to its predecessor. How rude!
But any naysayers have been proven wrong as Fuller House has found great success. In fact, each time the show announces a final season, devoted fans revolt. In a recent episode of the Inside of You podcast, Bob Saget answered some burning questions about his co-stars and their friendship over the years.
Bob Saget, whose role as Danny Tanner will go down in sit-com dad history, was recently asked by Michael Rosenbaum (Inside of You podcast host) if he secretly had a favorite Tanner child. Listen to the whole interview and get the full scoop here.
Dads don’t pick favorites
Not only did he refuse to pick a favorite child (good move, dad), he shockingly revealed that he’s remained close with Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen over the years, though they practically disappeared from Hollywood.
“They’re all friends, it’s not like they’re kids. But Jodie was probably more like a kid to me. Ashley and Mary-Kate are more like friends because I kind of got the whole thing of everything they’re about. Candace is a friend. They’ve all been there for me in a big way when I’ve gone through hard stuff.”

Where is Michelle Tanner?
The Olsen twins are pretty much the only cast members from the original series that don’t participate in the reboot. Initially, their denial to come back as little Michelle Tanner was the punchline of many jokes, especially in season one of Fuller House. But just because they didn’t show up to set, doesn’t mean they don’t still keep up with their big tv family.

The famous twins prefer to remain out of the LA spotlight, which means all family reunions happen in New York. The duo runs a high-end fashion label in NYC where they live in luxurious apartments. As all child stars should, right?

Rosenbaum wasn’t afraid to cut right to the chase. He even asks about Saget’s feelings regarding his recently incarcerated co-star Lori Loughlin.
“I love her. I’ve been asked [about] it a lot. I’ve gotten whittled down. I just love her. I don’t know, I’d like to see a lot of other people doing time. We’re in such a place where no matter what I say I’m screwed, and I just love her. That’s where I am on that.”

Bob Saget Explains His Relationship With The Olsen Twins
Though the Olsen twins were the baby of the family, Bob Saget’s relationship with them offscreen wasn’t as fatherly as it was with his other co-stars. Despite the age, geographical and occupational gap, these stars’ friendship has stood the test of time.
