Boru Ramen Bar Opens in Kansas City
There’s a new restaurant in town and it’s all about the ramen noodle craze. Boru Ramen Bar, a sleek restaurant located in Kansas City’s Waldo neighborhood. You can tell you’re in for a treat at Boru, even before you walk through the door. The space is beautiful. Large windows surrounds the entire restaurant making it look even larger than its 3,000 square feet. You can hear the faint singing of 80’s pop stars as you approach the entrance. The dark interior is both just as welcome as the accommodating staff.
The modern space is complete with seven 55-inch flat screens and one 70-inch flat screen which stream music videos from the ‘80s, ‘90s, and ‘00s. There are even high tables near open windows so you can enjoy the nice weather.
The Japanese, Korean, and Chinese influenced menu is obvious with traditional steamed baos, a fully stocked bar complete with an array of Asian beers, Japanese whisky, and the Sake staple, and of course ramen. All the food served at Boru is only made with quality ingredients, something owners Domhnall Molloy and Andy Lock take great pride in.
The global flavors that inspired this menu are just as colorful as their roots. With menu items like the Seafood Ramen and Bibimbap you really can’t go wrong at Boru Ramen Bar. The inviting atmosphere may call you in, but it’s the food that’ll keep you coming back.
It’s the perfect happy hour destination or a fun night out. You can enjoy some remarkable food, unique cocktails and a fun environment.
