Celebrity Guests Set To Replace Chris Harrison on Bachelor In Paradise
Bachelor fans get ready, season 7 of Bachelor In Paradise will air this August and will look a little different when it returns.
While Chris Harrison, who has hosted all six seasons of the dating show, will not return for this season. Instead, celebrity guests will rotate as hosts throughout the season.
Thanks to ET News we were able to get the scoop on the new celebrity hosts.
Harrison has been the sole host of The Bachelor franchise since day one, launching the most popular dating show in 2002.
His departure comes following a media spectacle of a controversy that erupted when the longtime host made racially insensitive comments defending a contestant of the franchise.
Although he will be missed fans are excited for the new season of BIP along with the celebrity hosts!
Guest hosts will include David Spade, Tituss Burgess, Lance Bass, and Lil Jon.
David Spade
David Spade, who is one of the stars set to be host for two weeks has been very vocal about his love for The Bachelor franchise throughout the years. Back in March, he made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where he spoke about his love for the series.
Spade, 56, who is an actor, comedian, writer, and Saturday Night Live vet often covers the show on his Instagram account. He is also best known for being in the films Grown Ups, Joe Dirt, and Tommy Boy.
He can certainly “break the ice” on the show and poke fun at himself being the new host. Having such a love for the franchise Spade will definitely bring a fresh take on the show.
Tituss Burgess
Actor and singer Tituss Burgess is ecstatic about his new co-hosting position on this season of Bachelor In Paradise. He’s thrilled that he’s going to spend his summer commenting on hot people hooking up.
In 2020, the 42-year-old became the host of the Netflix series Sing On! He also starred in numerous plays on Broadway like The Little Mermaid and Guys and Dolls.
Thanks to an exclusive from Page Six, we found out just how excited Burgess is about his new role as a host on BIP. Burgess told Page Six “Non-scripted TV is my guilty pleasure”. He also loves “the drama, the fun, the ‘reality’ and all the hot men – I mean all the hot people.”
Burgess is no stranger to the spotlight and fans are excited for him to bring the excitement, fun, and good times!
Lance Bass
Former NSYNC band member Lance Bass will be new to Bachelor Nation, but he is not new to hosting gigs. In the past, he’s hosted radio shows like Dirty Pop with Lance Bass and Pop2Kountdown.
He has made multiple appearances on TV including his cat-fishing role on the The Circle season 2 played by his assistant. Bass also hosted the first-ever gay dating TV show, Finding Prince Charming in 2016.
With his expertise in helping others find love and being on TV we think he will fit right in on one of the best dating shows.
Lil Jon
The Grammy Award-winning artist and veteran rapper, Lil John will also make an appearance as a celebrity host on BIP season 7.
The artist is most know for his songs “Turn Down For What” and “Yeah!”. He has also starred in movies like, Scary Movie 4 , and even TV shows, MTV Cribs, Wild ‘n Out, and Saturday Night Live.
The rapper is no stranger to the Bachelor franchise as he appeared on The Bachelorette season 14 during Becca Kurfin’s one-on-one date with Blake Horstmann.
