Clare Crawley Opens Up About Being In A “Dark Place” After Breakup
Clare Crawley is going through a lot. From a speedy engagement and now to a breakup, she’s been through so much. After circulating rumors of the couple taking time apart, Dale Moss confirmed their breakup. Dale then faced accusations of cheating on Clare with a close friend of his, leaving Clare heartbroken.
So how is Clare Crawley doing now? Thanks to insight from E! News, we have the scoop on Clare’s attitude after her breakup!
Clare Crawley Speaks Out
After Dale announced the couple’s breakup on January 19th, Clare then shared her thoughts on Instagram on January 21st, saying “I was made aware of a ‘mutual’ statement at the same time you all were so I’ve needed some time to really digest this.”
About a week later on January 29th Clare went on Instagram Live to share her thoughts. In the video Clare reveals, “I was struggling pretty bad and I held it in for a long time and I think in manifested in other ways and kind of built up and was just heavy and a lot.”
Clare also adds that, “I’m getting to the point now where I’m trying really hard to come back from that and make a U-turn, because it’s a dark place to be in when you’ve got a lot of stuff compiled on each other.” It is no surprise that a public breakup, in addition to caring for her mother with Alzheimer’s and living through a pandemic is all very stressful.
After The Bachelorette aired, Clare shares that it “really got to me. I held it in and tried to be strong for so long. I am a strong person, but I tried to be that for so long that I didn’t share a lot of my struggles with anxiety… because I never wanted to be like, ‘Poor me, poor me’ or the victim of anything.”
Clare is also facing more serious issues. The hairstylist shares that police show up to her home, “every few days saying they have welfare checks on me because people are threatening to kill me.”
How Clare is Staying Positive
In the face of so much negativity, Clare has two things that are, “helping me tremendously.” She says, “First of all, watch the documentary Heal. That made such a difference in my mindset.” According to Heal’s website the documentary is “about the power of the mind to heal the body.” It is currently streaming on Netflix.
Clare Crawley is also practicing gratitude every day. She claims it, “literally changes everything.” Clare lists 10 things she’s grateful for each morning before getting up. Although, she admits sometimes, “it’s hard searching for gratitude.” She explains, “You just want to curl into a ball and cry sometimes and not get out of bed.” But then emphasizes, “the days that I practice gratitude, I get out of bed.”
So, while breakups are hard, Clare Crawley is working on herself. It seems that Clare is getting better. We are happy to see her being happy. As for Bachelor Nation fans, do you think Clare deserves another chance to be The Bachelorette?
