Delicious 3 Ingredient Peppermint Shake Recipe
Disclosure: This is a sponsored post by Belfonte. However, all opinions are my own.
There is something about the holidays that just has me craving peppermint. I am always trying new recipes that are easy to make with high-quality ingredients. I have found the best of both with this delicious 3 ingredient peppermint shake recipe.
Easy & Delicious
I wanted to create a recipe that was easy to make and looks impressive. This will be my go-to this year when celebrating with family and friends. I want to make sure everyone knows just how thankful I am for them and the perfect way is with a tasty treat and time together.
Ingredients
You only need 3 ingredients to make this delicious peppermint shake. You can also top it with whip cream for a final touch and one more ingredient.
The following ingredients make 1 serving. If you have more people just double, triple, etc.
- 1 cup Ice Cream – For this recipe I used Belfonte vanilla ice cream. You can have fun with the ice cream flavors and mix it up to whatever your taste buds desire. I like a classic vanilla ice cream, but you could try cookies and cream, chocolate, etc.
- 1/2 Cup Milk – Again, you can mix up the milk you use, I prefer Belfonte skim milk so that is what I used in the recipe and it turned out so good.
- 1 tablespoon Candy Canes– I decided to crush up candy canes. For me, it was more festive and fun to use candy canes but any peppermint candy works!
Optional Ingredients To Style Up Your Shake
- Optional (whip cream)– I highly recommend you top your shake with whip cream and more candy cane pieces. You’ll love the final look.
- Chocolate Bark – I used melted chocolate bark around the rim of my glass to add a peppermint touch.
Supplies
- Measuring cups: 1 cup and 1/2 cup – These will be used for the ice cream and the milk.
- Tablespoon – Used to measure out your peppermint pieces, but you could also just sprinkle them in based on your liking.
- Blender – This is your key tool to make this milkshake.
- Baggie + Kitchen roller – You can get creative with how you crush your candy canes into little pieces but I used a baggie and a roller. It worked really well and my candy canes worked perfectly.
- Small bowl – If you decide to add the chocolate touch you’ll need a small bowl to melt the chocolate.
- Straw – Top this treat off with a festive straw.
Instructions
Don’t worry I know the holidays are busy so you will be able to mix this shake up quickly and enjoy it!
- Gather all of your ingredients and supplies. Having everything out and ready will make your recipe quick and easy!
- Crush your peppermint into little pieces. If you choose to buy it already crushed that works, too. But, if not I used a kitchen roller and put my candy canes in a clear plastic baggie.
- Use your blender. Mix 1 cup Belfonte vanilla ice cream and 1/2 cup Belfonte milk. Add 1 tablespoon of peppermint candy pieces and blend.
- Pour and Enjoy. Pour your shake into a glass and enjoy or continue and make it even more festive!
- Melt a piece of chocolate bark. Dip your glass rim into the melted chocolate and then dip into crushed candy pieces. Make sure to do this before you add your shake.
- Top with whip cream. Now that you have added your chocolate park and peppermint around the rim. Make sure your shake it poured in and top with whip cream.
- Add a straw and enjoy! I used a red and white straw to go with the peppermint look. You can also eat with a spoon!
