Bri Springs Talks The Bachelor Finale
Since one of the most dramatic and controversial seasons in Bachelor Nation history is now over, there is a lot to discuss! From Chris Harrison stepping down as host, and Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe filling in for the next seasons of The Bachelorette, Bachelor Nation is going through a lot.
This season of The Bachelor has a very dramatic and emotional finale and After the Final Rose special. After choosing not to propose, Matt James still gage Rachel Kirconnell his final rose and the finale ends with a couple in love. Only on the After the Final Rose special do fans learn that Matt James chose to break up with Rachel in light of controversial photos of her resurfacing.
Bri Springs, a 24-year-old communications manager who made it to Matt James’ final 3, has some thoughts on the finale. Talking exclusively to E! News’ Daily Pop, Bri tells E! News that she is, “relieved” that the season is finally over. Springs elaborates saying, “I’ve been waiting for this moment for a while.”
Referring to Matt and Rachael Kirkconnell’s conversation during the After the Final Rose special, Bri says she’s “proud of both them” and that she is familiar with being in “that hot seat.”
So how does Bri feel about Matt’s decision to break up with Rachel? Springs says, “Look, I get where he’s coming from because I’m a Black woman and it can be hard, but also, I thought they were in love, and I thought they were the end all, be all for each other.”
Is Bri Still in Love With Matt James?
Bri will forever hold a special title in Matt James’ history as The Bachelor. Matt chose Bri Springs for his first ever one-on-one date of the season! Throught each episode, Matt and Bri’s relationship grew and the two became very close, earning Bri a spot in the final 3 women. Unfortunately, their love did not last and Matt sent her home.
So how does Bri feel about Matt now? She says, “I can confidently say that I am not still in love with Matt but I do—I wish him the best.” And as for how she feels about Matt’s new look? Well, Bri says she’s “not a fan” of his beard.
In the midst of so many Bachelor Nation changes, Bri also expresses her appreciation for Emmanuel Acho who hosted After the Final Rose in place of Chris Harrison. Bri says that Acho, “Made me feel so comfortable and I really felt like I could get the closure that I needed.”
