Easy 4 Step DIY Mickey Ornaments
The holiday season is officially on, and that means it’s time to start thinking about decor! Disney is a hugely popular theme for holiday decorations, but sometimes you just don’t have the money to go all out. Which is why today I’m showing you how to make these adorable Mickey Mouse ornaments! They can be made for next to nothing and don’t take a ton of time, making it the perfect craft for you and your tribe.

What You Will Need:
- Small plastic ornaments
- Larger plastic ornaments (get whatever sizes, colors, and designs you like best! Mine came with Santa belts painted on them, but you can do whatever you like!)
- Hot glue gun
- Wire cutters
Step 1. Remove hanger from small ornaments
What we’re working on first are the ears. So you need to remove the plastic piece used to hang the small ornaments.
Step 2. Cut plastic piece
We have to get that plastic piece off so the ears will be flush against the head. Just use a pair of wire cutters- this is why we get plastic ornaments and not glass. Glass will shatter. Just snip off the plastic piece and move on to step 3!
Step 3. Glue ears
Apply some hot glue around the hole and place it on the larger ornament about where Mickey’s ears would be. Use your judgement for placing. Just be sure to glue the hole down so you can’t see it!
Step 4. Hold and dry
Luckily hot glue dries pretty quick, so it only takes a few seconds to dry. I stuck my larger ornament in a small cup to keep it from rolling around while I worked. Then add your other ear and move on to the rest of your ornaments.
The best part of this craft is how simple it is and how CHEAP! I bought my two things of ornaments at the dollar store. I already had a glue gun and glue plus the wire cutters at home, so this entire craft cost me $2.12.
And that’s it! Your very own DIY Mickey ornaments! Add a hook or some string (which comes with the ornaments, so no extra cost) and you have your new ornaments! I highly recommend getting several colors and making an entire set, or giving them as gifts!
