The whole process will make you look like a makeup pro! The only thing holding you back is yourself, so get ready to kick ass and look great this Halloween!
Making the Outfit
The first step for creating this deer costume is to get this super cute and cozy fleece pullover from Walmart. I think this color is perfect for the look and it’s only $10!
I paired the fleece with black jeans to keep the costume simple and comfortable. You can also wear a brown fuzzy jacket and pair of black jeans from your closet if you already own these things.
The Deer Face Makeup
For the makeup, begin by filling in your brows with a brow pencil. I use Wet N Wild Ultimate Brow.
Then, move on to eyeshadow. We will create a neutral smokey eye. I use Wet N Wild Nudecomer, a brown shade, on the eyelids. If you want, you can do a cut crease instead.
Another good place to find a good brown eye shadow shade for this is in any basic contour palette. You can also add a white eye shadow under your brow to highlight it.
If you want to add some shine, apply a yellow-tinted highlighter to the center of your lid with a smaller brush.
Also, use the same eyeshadow as your contour shades and apply it to the cheekbones, temples, the sides of your nose, and forehead to give the deer color. Be sure to blend it out with a large fluffy brush to avoid harsh lines. When blending, it is important to find the sweet spot so you do not over blend.
Next, use a light concealer like this one to apply spots on the cheekbones, temples, and forehead. They will also add a little contrast on top of the dark eyeshadow or deep contour powder.
Be sure to make the spots different sizes on the tops of your cheeks so they look realistic! Also, try to keep sharp edges on the sides of the spots so they do not blur. Try to keep the spots away from the middle of your forehead or the bridge of your nose.
Next, line your waterline with a white eyeliner so the eyes really stand out!
Then, take a liquid eyeliner in black and line your eyelids and create a doe-eyed look with a thick wing. You can take this a step further and draw the wing from the outer corner of your eyes into your inner corner for some extra flare! I also use the same liner to create the deer nose.
Another great tip is to set your eyeliner with a black eyeshadow to give you an über-pigmented cat eye, or to find a long-lasting liquid liner like the KVD vegan beauty tattoo liner.
To finish off the eyes, apply a creamy black mascara like L’Oreal Paris Bambi Eye. You can also top off the look with your favorite pair of fake lashes. Sometimes all it takes is a pair of false lashes to perfect the look!
The Finishing Touches
For the nose, draw and fill in a heart shape on the tip of your nose using the eyeliner from before. You can mark out the shape with a black eyeliner pencil first and fill it in with the liquid once you like the shape.
Then, draw a straight thick line down from the bottom of your nose, to the top of your lip with the pigmented black pencil.
Finally, the lips are really up to you, but I think a bright red lip with this look is super cute, so I am wearing NYX Filler Instinct Plumping Lip Color in shade Besos.
To finish the glam, add a nail polish color. I think either white or ruby look the best!
Finally, comes the fun part! To complete the costume I put on these adorable deer antlers! Try to line them up with the sides of your forehead. A great tip is to use the bridge of the nose as a center point when centering your antlers.
The Final Look
This Halloween costume is a great idea for you and your best friend! Depending on your complexions, you can use darker or lighter shades. This will help to find the perfect color for this cute deer makeup look.

You can even find a deer makeup tutorial if you need help with the black nose, applying the white dots, lining the outside corner, or your upper lip. The full deer makeup may seem intimidating, but do not stress.
This cute DIY deer costume is the perfect way to kick off spooky season! It is especially a great costume idea for anyone with a brunette hair color!
If you want to put a spooky twist on this cute costume and take some creative control, you can also add some fake blood to the look around the mouth or on the sides of the nose! No matter what you decide, this is a fun process. You will love to post easy eye makeup on social media.
