Entertaining Made Easy With Walmart InHome For Friendsgiving

I had so much fun hosting a Friendsgiving event with Walmart. I partnered with them to learn more about their InHome program and put it to use to make it easy to entertain my guests. At my Friendsgiving event, Walmart InHome was present and able to educate my guest on the program, while we mixed, mingled and gave thanks to new + old friends!

We served up a variety of Thanksgiving-inspired dishes, all made with ingredients you can purchase at Walmart. Including roast turkey mini cups, sweet potato cube, thanksgiving deviled eggs, sausage + apple stuffing bites, and mini pumpkin pies. We also served some pre-made menu items, including mini quiches and puff pastries. The tasty treats didn’t stop there! Walmart InHome also provided all the essentials for a hot chocolate bar and cookie decorating contest.

There are 5 steps to the InHome process. This is how it works:

1. It starts with a smart device that is installed for free.

If you want your groceries delivered to your fridge in the kitchen, Walmart will install the innovative Level Lock inside your existing deadbolt. This will enable your deliveries to your kitchen.  If you want your groceries delivered to your fridge in your garage (if you have one), Walmart will install the GoControl Smart Garage Door Controller to your existing garage door opener.  All in just a few minutes, you can easily have your groceries delivered to your home!

2. You then can start ordering Walmart groceries online.

Walmart handles the delivery schedule and gets your groceries into your fridge with care, so you don’t have to be home to receive your order.  The Walmart delivery associates will send a notification to your phone when they head to your home and they will send another when they arrive at your door.

3. The delivery happens securely and carefully.

The smart locks that they install let the Walmart associate open your house or garage door one time, only during your delivery time and only with your specific order. Once your door has been re-locked, the Walmart associate cannot open your door or garage again until your next delivery.

Walmart InHome delivery associates wear the DeliverCam which records a video of your delivery that’s live-streamed to your phone. You might be wondering what happens if the camera isn’t recording. Well, if the camera isn’t recording, your door will not open!

4. Watch your delivery live (or later)

When the Walmart associate gets up to your door, they will knock and then enter your home and immediately lock your door behind them. They will head directly to your fridge. Always thoughtful, the Walmart associate will cover their shoes before stepping inside your home.

If you want to watch your delivery live or later, you will see it start at your front door. The live stream will continue recording as your groceries are arranged neatly in your fridge, and ends with the associate leaves and locks your door behind them. You can it on your phone live, or view a recording on the InHome app whenever you want to!

5. The Walmart associate will leave your house exactly as you left it except your fridge, of course!

The groceries that you ordered will be placed neatly and carefully on your fridge shelves by a Walmart associate. Finally, when your fridge is stocked with your groceries, the Walmart associate will leave, lock your door and turn off their DeliveryCam, notifying you that your delivery is complete.

I had the best time teaming up with Walmart to host Friendsgiving. You can read more about Walmart InHome and find out why it makes the perfect gift for family and friends this holiday season. I gifted it to my parents and shared all about the process + photos from their first InHome delivery.

Walmart InHome makes grocery shopping simple. The products you order are delivered directly to your home, all at an affordable price! Ordering with Walmart InHome allowed me more time to enjoy my party and mingle with my friends, making the entire hosting process much less stressful. I can’t wait to host another event with Walmart InHome and hope you’ll give it a try, too!
