With summer quickly approaching many of us are more focused on being healthy then we were 6 months ago when we were munching on Grandma’s homemade Christmas cookies. With the warm weather on it’s way, that also means an increase in fresh food.
Eating fresh is a great way to stay healthy. Fresh ingredients are one of the most important factors in healthy meals. By focusing on making sure you are getting fresh foods inside your body, you can also make sure you are get the health and nutrients you need. As a way to kick off my goal of finding fresh flavor I visited Applebee’s to check out their latest addition. They have a new secition on their menu featuring fresh meals all under 600 calories.
I love how easy Applebee’s has made it to eat out, yet stay healthy. You can grab lunch with friends to catch up or have a working lunch and still make it healthy. They even have the convient 30 minute lunch options for those of you on the go. It’s great to know that you can still eat healthy and fresh when you don’t have the time to cook it yourself.
I tried their new Savory Cedar Salmon. Eating seafood is a new goal of mine. I have never really been a fan, but the health benefits are unarguable so I’m giving it a try. The Salmon was great and for under 520 calories it made for a delicious and filling lunch.
