Force Friday II: Star Wars VR Returns

Star Wars VR is back! If you enjoyed Pokemon Go and the first Star Wars VR event, get ready for a second dose on September 1 AKA Force Friday II. New Star Wars products based on the upcoming film Star Wars: The Last Jedi hit stores in September, so what’s the best way to celebrate? A VR scavenger hunt.

While you’re hitting up Target, Walmart, or Toys”R”Us for the newest toys, clothes, and figures, you might as well join in on the fun.

The logo to look out for is Find the Force. Whenever you see it, open the Star Wars app and scan it to see a VR character. Don’t worry about not finding a Disney Store near you, because more than 20,000 retailers across the world plan to participate. Feeling sick or not in the mood for shopping? You won’t miss out! Several online stores including ThinkGeek and Her Universe are joining Force Friday. See the complete list of stores for more information.

Despite the name, Force Friday goes all weekend long. Want the best experience? Definitely participate all weekend. New characters appear daily, and you can collect up to 15 characters from Friday to Sunday. Keep an eye out for all-new characters from The Last Jedi.

As if that weren’t awesome enough, you can win tickets to the December premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Just take a picture or video of the characters and treasures when they appear during your hunt. Then share your Force Friday experience on Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook using both #FindtheForce and #Sweepstakes on your posts. Easy right?

If you can’t wait until Force Friday, you can download the Star Wars app and preview characters and treasures.

Check out the trailer below!

Make sure to see Star Wars: The Last Jedi in theaters December 15.
