They are our worst nightmare. We dread waking up with them. We can’t stand to look at them in the mirror and they’re certainly not something we want to wear with our outfits. They are the dreaded puffy eyes.

Here are a few quick home remedies.
Chilled spoons
Place two spoons in the freezer for about ten minutes or until they are chilled. Remove the spoons and press them to your eyelids until the spoons become warm. Your eyes will begin tearing. Don’t worry, this is good! It means the swelling is reducing. Also, you can get facial freezing tool like these!
Tea Bags
Place two tea bags, preferably chamomile, into a cup of boiling water. Once the tea has steeped, remove the bags and let them cool. Place the tea bags on your eyelids for about ten minutes.
Ice Water
Fill ice cold water in a bowl and dip two cotton pads in it. Squeeze out the excess water and place the cotton pads on your eyelids. Once the pads get warm, dip them again in the icy water. Repeat this for 15 minutes.
Cucumbers
Take 2 slices of cucumber and place them on your eyelids for 15 minutes. This works with raw potato slices too!
Makeup
If you are in a rush, makeup can serve as a temporary fix for your puffy eyes. Eye shadow, especially darker shades, helps mask the puffiness. A touch of concealer under your eyes also helps minimize the appearance of swelling.
Sleep
Puffiness around the eyes can result from a lack of sleep. Be sure you get seven to eight hours of sound sleep!
We all get puffy eyes from time to time. They can be caused by stress, allergies, or after a night of crying over heartbreak (we hope not!) Luckily, there are some ways to get rid of puffy eyes and reduce the swelling in no time.
