6 Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Workout
We all live such busy lives, but if there is one thing I always make time for it is a good work out. Whether you’re a student or you work all day, you may not have the time to spend long hours at the gym. But that doesn’t mean your workout routine has to be any less effective or less stylish thanks to lululemon activewear! For me, working out is a great stress reliever and all-around positive part of my day.

1. Power Up With Protein
Eating protein in bar form or drinking a whey or soy protein shake before and after your workout will promote muscle growth during your strength and cardio workouts.
2. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Staying hydrated by drinking water before, during and after your workout is also very important! In addition to water’s benefits to your health (natural cleanser, prevents breakouts, etc.) water will keep your muscles hydrated so they can grow! Water takes a few hours to absorb into your body, so drinking before is just as important as during and after!
3. Sleep is Key
Obviously, you’re not sleeping while working out, but getting a good amount of sleep the day before you workout is another important factor in your workout. When you don’t get enough sleep, your body stresses, and when your body stresses, you tend to retain more weight.
4. Dress for Success
It may sound silly, but I really mean it when I say you need to dress the part. It’s amazing what good activewear can do for my workout— not only does it help me feel and look my best, but it also keeps me from being a sweaty mess at the end of my routine. A Good Sports Bra
Never doubt the power of a great sports bra. It goes without saying that when you’re working out, you need to feel free to move in every-which-way without feeling like you’re going to fall out of your shirt. The loose-fitting tee is great when the weather is hot (or your workout is extra intense) because it won’t stick to your body when you work up a sweat.
A Secure Headband

Supportive Shoes

5. Take It Slow
When doing strength training, take it easy! Don’t go too fast, lift and lower to a five-second count in either direction for maximum results. Before you start a high intensity interval training routine, be sure you know the basics!
6. Don’t Forget Balance
A big part of your success at the gym depends on how you take care of yourself outside of it.
