House of the Dragon in Need of a Second Season

Days from the premiere of the pilot episode for House of the Dragon, the ten-episode series was renewed for another season. But many fans are not surprised to hear this announcement due to the success of Game of Thrones. Based on the novel, Fire & Blood, it seems only necessary for the series to have a second season as the Targaryen have quite the story to tell.

Even though House of the Dragon reminds viewers of Game of Thrones, there is a difference between the two shows. The prequel heavily focuses on the family saga of the Targaryens rather than several story arcs.

The first episode takes an exciting turn with Rhaenyra as a young princess exploring the world from the back of a dragon. Finding herself in the game of thrones world, she doesn’t expect to become the rightful heir to the throne. However, once the duty is laid upon her, she doesn’t hesitate to take it.

But we expect the rest of the season to have her fighting for what is rightfully hers. Rhaenyra might have picked up a few habits from her uncle Daemon that could challenge her enemies but also destroy the House of Targaryen.
