Iconic Comebacks from “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody”

Thanks to Disney Plus, we can relive our childhood by rewatching our favorite Disney Channel shows. One series that still makes me laugh is The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. Here are ten iconic comebacks from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. You may be surprised at how many times characters clapped back on this show.

1. “Well, honey, you missed auburn big time.”

When Cody dies his hair a bright red instead of honey mist auburn, Zack says, “well, honey, you missed auburn big time.” This is one of the most cleverly crafted jokes I’ve ever heard. I’m still not over it to this day.

2. “Why don’t we just relax and turn on the radio? Would you like AM or FM?”

The scene where Mr. Moseby teaches London how to drive has been turned into memes, vines, and Tiktok’s over the years. London calls the gear shift “the PRNDL,” and Mr. Moseby mocks her by loudly sounding out “AM” and “FM.” This scene is comical and reminds us of the stress of learning how to drive.

3. “You forget to cherish her.”

When Mr. Moseby asks, “how do you lose a woman?” Cody’s response is both amusing and a valid answer to his question. This show was teaching young boys how to respect women, and I can’t help but pride them on it.

4. “Your last name!”

While filming a commercial, London forgets the name of the Tipton hotel. Mr. Moseby says that it’s her name, so she sings, “welcome to the London.” Mr. Moseby then shouts, “your last name!” I’ll never forget this fantastic commercial, unlike how London forgot her last name.

5. “No one’s got the time!”

Zack’s comeback after Esteban’s line about his name was ruthless but funny. This moment should have had Kill Bill sirens in the background.

6. “I recommend you go away!”

In this episode, Carey keeps sneaking into the hotel restaurant to fix Maddie’s hair while she’s on a date. The manager of the restaurant, Patrick, catches her. When Carey recommends the creme brulee, he snaps back, “I recommend you go away.” He deserves a raise for the speed at which he came up with that comeback.

7. “Really? I don’t see it.”

Everyone remembers the episode when the characters performed in a production of High School Musical. All of us at home knew that Maddie played Sharpay. So whenever one of the characters claimed she didn’t look like her, it was funny, but it also drove us crazy. Nevertheless, the fourth wall breaking in this episode is amazing.

8. “I’ve met bread smarter than you.”

Maddie is hardworking and intelligent, whereas London is sweet but a bit of an airhead. When London thinks that genealogy is when you rub a lamp and get three wishes, Maddie retorts that she’s met bread smarter than her. Many of Maddie’s comebacks to London deserve Emmys.

9. “I’m sorry you’re my brother.”

The twins have many ups and downs during their shenanigans at the hotel. When Cody apologizes for flicking flour in Zack’s face, Zack doesn’t miss a beat, and says “I’m sorry you’re my brother.” Their fights are entertaining and reminded us of disagreements we’ve had with our own siblings.

10. “The spirt has me on hold.”

“The Ghost of Suite 613” is one of the most-watched episodes of the series. The gang pranks Zack by making him think that suite 613 is haunted. When Esteban “channels” the spirit of the ghost and starts humming, the others look at him like he’s crazy. However, his comeback, “I am on hold,” makes them believe him and makes us laugh.

Old Disney Channel excelled at giving us iconic jokes. What are some of your favorite lines from the show? Tell us in the comments below!
