The Independence Center Holiday Shopping Guide: What to Buy for Everyone On Your List
When it comes to shopping in the Kansas City area, the Independence Center has always been one of my go to places. It is one of the only fully enclosed shopping centers in the KC metro area and conveniently located right off the highway.
I grew up spending many of my pay checks at the Independence Center and I guess not too much has changed. 😉 The holiday season is one of the best times to visit the mall. The decorations are always wonderful and of course you can stop by and get a photo with Santa. Add that to the holiday specials offered at many stores and you’re all set for a fun shopping adventure.
I recently visited the Independence Center to get a start on my holiday shopping list and here are some of my go-to items for everyone on your list.
The Person Who Has It All
This is without a doubt, believe it or not my favorite person to shop for. I can totally relate to this person. It’s that one or in my case multiple people on your list who have everything they could ever need. Get them something they want and that they can actually use.
My shopping stop for this person is Bath & Body Works. I suggest buying them a cute plugin, something chic and stylish that they can use all year round. Then if you plan it right you can get them new scents for refills on birthdays and upcoming holidays.
The Sports Obsessed
Man, child, man-child, the runner, cardio obsessed, weight loss focused…Dick’s Sporting goods is the place to shop for this person. The Independence Center location has so many options and great deals. I would suggest mixing it up. Get them an item you know they have on their list, but then pick them up something a little different. The athlete on your list is most likely adventurous so give them a gift that will get them excited.
The Fashionista
We all have this person on our list. The one who wears the sparkles to the holiday dinner, they always have the best shoes and of course their looking the best in the family photo. For this person, I suggest accessories. I stopped by the Coach store and found some very cute options.
Accessories are the way to go, they look great on everyone and we all know the fashionista on your list can never have too many options.
The Beauty Lover
What’s better than the gift of beauty? Glowing skin, perfect eyebrows, a bold lip, the beauty lover on your list will be impressed with everything Sephora at the Independence Center has in stock. They have some of the cutest designed gift sets and options that will be perfect from the teenager to the great aunt on your list.
The Practical One
While I might not be the practical one when it comes to making my holiday list, I certainly am when it comes to giving. If you know the persons size, I suggest buying them clothes. There are so many people on your list that won’t want to spoil themselves so do the spoiling for them. I am a firm believer in when you look good, you feel good.
Give them a new sweater, shirt, dress, etc. The Independence Center has stores such as H&M, Victoria’s Secret, Old Navy and more that you can purchase the perfect stylish pieces for anyone on your shopping list.
I highly suggest you give the Independence Center a little visit for your holiday shopping needs. The 100+ featured stores include Forever 21, Sephora, Coach, PINK, Pandora, DICK’S Sporting Goods, Carhartt and many more. There are also several dining options from sit-down restaurants such as Applebee’s, to grab-and-go restaurants like Noodles and Company.
Or, stop by the Food Court and enjoy the local flavor at Tito’s BBQ or Dragonfly Tea Zone. A personal favorite of mine is Auntie Anne’s which I noticed they had more than one spot featuring the tasty pretzels. Go grab yourself a snack and get your shopping done right at the Independence Center this year!
Disclosure: I was provided with a gift card for my shopping experience. As always, all opinions are my own.
