Calling all Survivor fans, we have good news! After the 40th season, Survivor: Winners at War, the show stopped filming due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But in recent news, America’s favorite social experiment will be back soon!
Here is the scoop on what host Jeff Probst has to say about the next season!
Jeff Probst Shares The News
Fans will remember watching the finale of season 40, where instead of the traditional live finale with an audience, we all watched the cast tune in from home. Since then, many of us have been rewatching old seasons while we wait for season 41.
On March 22, Jeff Probst shared the good news in an Instagram video. Sporting his signature blue shirt/hat combo, and rocking a longer, quarantine hairstyle Jeff says, “Hey Survivor fans, I have some exciting news to share! Survivor’s going back into production! Fiji has invited us back to their beautiful country to shoot season 41.”
How Filming Survivor Will Work
Probst also assures fans that filming the new season will be safe for everyone. He explains, “We have all of our COVID protocols in place so that everybody in Fiji will remain safe, all of our crew will be safe and of course, our players will be safe.”
Almost gushing with excitement, Jeff adds, “And I got to tell ya, I can’t remember a time I’ve been this pumped to shoot Survivor and I’ll tell you why. The past year has reminded me, and I hope it’s reminded you, that you got to live your life like its one big great adventure and Survivor fulfills that. So I am thrilled to say I will see you on the island for Survivor 41. Let’s do it!”
It is so exciting to hear that filming for the next season has started, and more importantly that everyone is being safe. Fans are so ready for season 41 and we can’t wait to watch it!
In the meantime you can rewatch your favorite moments! Cuddle up on the couch with a blanket, your favorite drink or a glass of wine, your favorite Survivor top and some cozy socks, and start watching.
