Kansas City Chiefs Style Party

Wow, with the Chiefs being 9-0, Kansas City is loving their team right now.  If you’ve ever been to  Kansas City you know that the people here are dedicated to their hometown team.

The Saturday before their first game, I was lucky enough to attend a Kansas City Chiefs style kick-off party.  It was so much fun. Two of the very best things, football and fashion. 🙂

Chiefs cheerleaders and former Chiefs players were there modeling all-new, stylish  Chiefs gear (not your average souvenir t-shirts) for the season.  The fashion show was so much fun and the clothes were great.  It’s nice to be able to not only go to a game and cheer on your favorite team, but now you can look stylish at the same time.

I also got the opportunity to meet Tavia Hunt.  She was absolutely fabulous and I love her take on turning NFL clothing in a fashionistas wardrobe.

“I think the NFL’s eyes were opened a little bit to the fact that there are 78 million female fans of the NFL,” Tavia Hunt explained. “What we had to wear was a men’s size small or a boy’s extra-large and for those of us that are fans of the NFL and fans of fashion, it wasn’t okay. So we no longer have to shred it, tie it, cut it and pin it, it fits. It’s great and it’s beautiful.” (Source).
