Top 10 Kardashian-Jenner Reality TV Shows Ranked
We all met (and grew to love) the Kardashians on their extravagant reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians. However, over the years, the family has participated in a number of spinoffs. Devoted fans have spent summers with the sisters in Miami and New York, have followed Caitlyn’s emotional gender transformation, and have even gotten an inside look at Kylie’s luxurious lifestyle. While they have all been at least mildly entertaining, some of the spin-offs were more successful than others.
Here is the DEFINITIVE ranking of the Top 10 Kardashian-Jenner reality television shows:
1. Keeping Up with the Kardashians
The number one Kardashian reality television show is obviously and undeniably Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Since 2007, viewers around the world have followed this over-the-top family and their whirlwind lives, able to see them at their highest highs and lowest lows. Currently on its 15th season, the show is the foundation of the Kardashian Empire and has played a fundamental role in the family’s fame. The highlight of the series: watching the family grow and mature throughout the thirteen years.
2. Kourtney and Khloé (and Kim) Take Miami
Between 2009 and 2013, the Kardashian sisters three spent summers in tropical Miami in order to open their newest beach-front D-A-S-H store. While the spin-off provides an inside look at the siblings as businesswomen, there is also plenty of seriously entertaining drama (and some concerning drama regarding Scott’s partying). The highlights of the series: the first look at Kourtney’s first son Mason, Scott Disick’s drunken behavior, and Khloé’s newfound obsession with Cuban coffee.
3. Kourtney and Kim Take New York
In 2011, the Kardashian sisters decided to open up their third retail D-A-S-H store, this time in New York City! While the first season focuses on Scott and Kourtney’s messy relationship, it is the second season that really stands. Season two follows Kim and basketball player Kris Humphries’s short-lived and troubled marriage. Throughout the season, viewers watch their relationship slowly fall apart as the two realize that they are not, in fact, a perfect match. The highlight of the series: Kris Humphries’s obnoxious but comedic personality.
4. Life of Kylie
Any fan of KUWTK knows that Kylie rarely appears on the television series during the later seasons. While the 22-year-old has understandably wanted to keep parts of her life private, fans were offered a behind-the-scenes look into her glamorous life in 2017. While the show was probably scripted, it was nice to at least see a bit more of a more personal, human side to the Beauty Queen. The highlight of the series: watching her loving (now irreparable) friendship with Jordyn Woods.
5. I am Cait
Documenting Caitlyn Jenner’s gender transition from 2015 to 2016, I am Cait is earnest and informative. The show has a more serious and educational tone than the other Kardashian spin-offs. It follows Caitlyn as she learns how to navigate her new life (re-introducing herself to her family, getting misgendered, etc.). I am Cait was praised for boosting transgender visibility and for igniting a conversation about their battles and victories. The highlight of the series: the show educates viewers about transgender struggles as viewers watch Caitlyn grow into herself.
6. Khloé and Lamar
A touching and hilarious spin-off, Khloé and Lamar really shows the love that Khloé and basketball player Lamar Odom had during their marriage. After dating for one short month, the two got married in 2009 and began filming the spin-off in 2011. Despite the numerous problems we now know the couple faced, Khloé and Lamar is light-hearted, endearing, and playful. The highlight of the series: the couple’s many amusing efforts to keep their romance alive.
7. Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons
Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons is really just a 2014 version of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami except now the sisters are in a small, idyllic town instead of a hectic city full of parties. Again, the series follows the sisters as they open a pop-up D-A-S-H store. And the drama with Scott of course continues. The highlight of the series: watching Kourtney’s family grow and mature!
8. Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian
In every episode of Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian, Khloé’s glam squads and fitness instructors help two people undergo “major transformations inside and out.” Khloé and her team help two individuals regain control over their bodies and lives. While the premise is enticing, the series does not really offer anything new. There are countless weight transformation shows out there. The highlight of the series: there are some pretty miraculous and inspiring transformations throughout the three seasons!
9. Rob & Chyna
Rob & Chyna documents the couple’s ups and downs in the months leading up to the birth of their first child. While this is a cute premise, anyone who follows the Kardashians knows that Rob and Blac Chyna had an extremely tumultuous and dramatic relationship. And this fact is made apparent in every single episode. But, despite the endless footage of fights, this 2016 series is rather dull and awkward to watch. The highlight of the series: viewers finally get to see Rob after years of hiding due to body insecurity.
10. Dash Dolls
Dash Dolls follows the employees of the Kardashian’s now-closed Hollywood clothing store D-A-S-H. Not only do viewers get a glimpse into what it is like to work for the famous sisters, but we also get to see the often dramatic and over-the-top lifestyles of these young workers. While the sisters do not appear on the show often, Khloé’s best friends Malika and Khadijah Haqq serve as co-managers of the store and guide the women throughout the series. While the show was entertaining, it lacked a driving plot or depth. The highlight of the series: work drama is always fun when it is not your own!
