Kavan Smith Dishes on "When Calls the Heart"

Amidst the pandemic, Smith revealed that his Hallmark show was the first one to start filming after lockdown! When asked about his favorite memory from filming he recalls his times with Jack Wagner by saying, “When he got out of his two weeks [of quarantine] he was the most gregarious, fun-loving, hysterical version of himself that we’ve ever seen! He was like a giddy little schoolboy!” Jack Wagner seems to have been the glue that kept the crew together!

When talking about his Hallmark cast-mates he says, “This is a very unique group of people. When you put them together, it just works! Our personalities just blend together seamlessly! I’ve been doing this for a long time and I can tell you that doesn’t happen very often!” Clearly, Smith holds his love for his cast-mates very dear to him!

Working With Pascale Hutton

Smith goes on to talk about working with Pascale Hutton and happily says, “Luckily, Pascale and I do most of our stuff together and we’re very good friends, so we were always put together!” Fans love hearing that Smith and Pascale keep such a close connection on and off set!

He continues to say, “We bonded because we both have the same childish humor. We just like to make each other laugh!” and “We both have thick skin, so we can kind of just go after each other!”

He closes with, “The cat is out of the bag! We did just shoot a movie in Hawaii!” when asked about his upcoming Hallmark movie with Pascale Hutton! Get ready Hallmark fans, we can’t wait to see it!
