Here’s what you’ll need (I bought most of my supplies at the Dollar Store):

  • Any placemat (you’ll be using the back)
  • Liquid Adhesive Glue or a Glue Gun
  • Wood Letters
  • Acrylic Paint (it holds best)
  • Gems
  • Any other decorative item you’d like to add (ribbons and so on)
  • Mod Podge

Step 1:

Grab your Wood Letters and begin to paint them in any color(s) you choose. This step will take a while to dry. Be sure that you are painting on a piece of paper to prevent getting any paint on your floors or countertops.

Step 2:

While you’re waiting for the letters to dry, glue on your decorations with your glue gun or adhesive glue. Make sure that these are glued on very well. If your dog is a constant biter of anything and everything, I would refrain from putting on the gems.

Step 3:

Once the letters are dry, glue them onto the mat.

Step 4:

Add the Mod Podge over the mat and wait for it to completely dry. Then you’re all set! (This step is optional.)

Head over to Dollar General now for all of your supplies and while you’re at it, don’t forget to buy your pup some Kibbles ‘N Bits®!

Don’t forget about the coupons!
