The Latest Scoop on Disney’s Big Hero 6: The Series

The time has come Big Hero 6 fans! We’ve got the latest scoop on Disney’s Big Hero 6: The Series.

The 2014 hit Big Hero 6 focuses on Hiro Hamada, a 14-year-old high school graduate. His older brother, Tadashi, wants Hiro to use his mind for more than just bot fighting. Hiro decides to join Tadashi at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology after seeing the awesome science lab. (Spoiler Alert!) Tragedy strikes. Hiro is left with the company of Baymax, his brother’s lovable science project. He has to deal with his grief while teaming up with his brother’s friends to fight against the man in the Kabuki mask. Big Hero 6 is adorable and tugs at the heartstrings. It’s also my favorite Disney movie.

Since Big Hero 6 ended, many fans speculated whether Disney would make a sequel. Speculation ended this summer at SDCC when Disney premiered their teaser for Big Hero 6: The Series. The wait is over because Big Hero 6: The Series, also known as Big Hero 6 Baymax Returns, premieres in November on Disney XD! The original cast will reprise their roles with the exception of Wasabi and Fred. Khary Payton will now voice the particular and cautious Wasabi, while Brooks Wheelan, who will voice the laid-back Fred.

Disney XD premiered a short sneak peak from the show this weekend during Ducktales. Check out the preview!

Big Hero 6: The Series will be right at home on Disney XD because Big Hero 6 is originally a Marvel comic. Disney XD is the go-to channel for all of Marvel’s animated series including Ultimate Spider-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Avengers Assemble. Like all Marvel movies, Big Hero 6 had an appearance from legend Stan Lee. Will Mr. Lee be back in his role for the series? You bet!

There’s even more news. Disney approved Big Hero 6: The Series for a second season back in March. Once the 21 episodes air, there’ll be so much more to come! Who doesn’t want more Baymax?

Suit up and get ready for Big Hero 6: The Series this November on Disney XD!
