Low-Calorie Caesar Dressing Recipe
Salads seem like easy, low-cal food to make for lunch or dinner. But those high-fat salad dressings can cancel out your best intentions of a healthy meal! Try this low-fat creamy “Caesar” dressing you can make at home.
You’ll need:
- 2/3 cup (about 5 ounces) of firm silken tofu
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce or chickpea miso
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic
- Ground black pepper to taste
Directions:
Put all ingredients into a blender and purée until smooth. This recipe makes about 1 cup.
**Serving size is 2 tablespoons and only has 25 calories and 0.5 grams total fat!
