Matt James And Rachael Kirkconnell Are Not Over
Is The Bachelor star Matt James giving love a chance? Maybe! After giving Rachael Kirkconnell the final rose of the season, Matt and Rachael’s relationship has been rocky to say the least. The couple broke up after racially insensitive photos of Rachel gained attention, and Bachelor Nation thought they were over for good.
Then, after being spotted together in New York City, Matt apparently broke Rachael’s trust by talking to another woman. However, it seems that these two are not over. Apparently, Matt James is still showing interest in Rachael, and fans are so excited!

Are Matt James and Rachael Kirkconnell Back Together?
Since revealing their breakup on the After the Final Rose special, Matt James is once again showing interest in Rachael Kirkconnell. Recently, the couple has been seen together in New York City and Los Angeles.
While talking to People about his Dick’s Sporting Goods partnership, Matt also talks about Rachael. He says, “I’ve seen Rachael a handful of times.”
Matt also adds, “I’m not pursuing any relationships right now outside of that. I said I was going to focus on my relationship with her and that means focusing on it.”
Currently, James is training for a marathon since May is National Runners’ Month. Talking about Rachael’s promise to educate herself on racial issues, Matt says, “that’s something you could talk to her about.”
As for Matt James, he says, “A lot of what I’m focused on right now is the work that I’m doing in the community and with the [marathon] training.”
What About Bachelor in Paradise?
In the midst of Matt and Rachael’s breakup, rumors spread about him appearing on the next season of Bachelor in Paradise. Actually, some fans hope to see both Matt James and his best friend Tyler Cameron hit the beach this summer!
Will that wish come true? Matt James does not think so. The 29 year old says, “There’s a negative chance I’ll be on Paradise. There is a negative chance Tyler’s on there as well. I think we’re good on that.”
Now that his season is over, Matt is using his time and platform to give back. He tells People that, “Just being at the center of meaningful conversations, that’s what I’m looking to do. I really enjoyed the conversations I had over the past few months and I think it’d be a lot of fun to be a voice on important issues. That’s where I see my future and where I’m pursuing opportunities.”
