How to Tell Her What She Means To You This Mother’s Day
What would you say to an important woman in your life if you couldn’t use “I love you,” “I appreciate you,” or “thank you”? This Mother’s Day, I decided to dig a little deeper and put my heart on paper to show the important ladies in my life what they mean to me. Starting with my mom. I feel beyond blessed to have the type of relationship I have with my mom. As I get older, I realize everyday that she is my best friend and no one will ever be able to compete. Just for fun here is a little throw back of me and my mom.
No matter how old you are, if you’re anything like me the only person who can ever make anything better is your mom. I am so thankful for my the ongoing love and support I get from her. As much as I hate to admit it, if there is on thing I could go back in time and do it would be listen to her advice. She is always assuring me that everything will work out and eventually all of the stars will align. I know that there is no one else in this world who can compare to the amazing person she is. I hope one day I will be as good of as a mom as she is to me.
Another special woman in my life is my sister. She is one of those people who I know would do anything for me. I have always looked up to her and still do. I remember once when I was in sixth grade, I even wore her high heels to school. She is six years older than I am so you can just imagine how well those shoes fit. 😉 Now, I am excited that I am the one she comes to for shopping advice. I have loved getting to watch her be a mom over the years.
Of course, life wouldn’t be the same without my Grandma either. It is so exciting to have her ongoing support in the things that I love doing most. I remember growing up and reading all of the gossip magazines together. We still like to chat about the hollywood gossip when we get together.
Another special woman in my life is my aunt who growing up was just like another mom to me. She babysat me and my cousin (her daughter) who were just a few months apart. Once she was playing ‘airplane’ with me and I ended up throwing up all over her and she still loved me. Haha to this day she likes to remind me of that story. It’s that kind of unconditional love that makes her such a wonderful Mom.
This Mother’s Day with a little help from my friends at Hallmark I decided to be apart of the “put your heart to paper” challenge. Visit PutYourHeartToPaper.com to learn more. The Mother’s Day cards from Hallmark this year are perfect. I was sent a few to try out and there is seriously something for every special woman in your life. Mom, grandma, sister, your friend who is expecting, aunt, cousin, etc.
With just a few days until Mother’s Day I really challenge you to express to your mom how much she means to you. Plus, Hallmark has already done most of the hard work. 😉 Now you just need to find the card that is perfect for your mom and add a little personalizeation.
