Movie Review: A Simple Favor
I loved this movie, A Simple Favor is one of the best I’ve seen in a long time. I didn’t take my eyes off of the screen, and every couple of minutes another plot twist ensued and I never saw them coming. The movie is interesting and well-written, and I give it a great review.
When a mother goes missing after making a friend in the neighborhood for the first time, there is a search to find her and the reason she went missing. The search reveals the woman’s dark past, including a secret twin and a 4-million-dollar insurance policy.
This movie had me guessing every time a scene ended and another began with a plot twist at every turn. There was no predictability in this movie.
The acting also enhanced the movie greatly. Blake Lively, playing the movie’s main character Emily, is great at playing mysterious, sassy strong female leads making her perfect for this role, and she nailed this one. Anna Kendrick plays Emily’s best friend, and she was also perfect for her role. With her short stature and shy looking persona, she played Emily’s insecure, single mother best friend perfectly.
I would highly recommend going to see this movie. Although I would not recommend this movie for a family night out, being that it is rated R, but definitely the perfect movie for a girl’s night or even a date night!
