Movie Review: Bohemian Rhapsody
Bohemian Rhapsody is this year’s must-watch film. Even if you’re not the biggest Queen fan, the film goes so much deeper than the music.
Bohemian Rhapsody shares the amazing journey of one of the most famous rock bands, Queen, and their lead singer Freddy Mercury (Rami Malek). The film follows Mercury’s struggles with the spotlight, as it begins to take a toll on his personal life. It also highlights the singers struggle with AIDs in the 80s and the fall of Queen.
Malek’s overall performance is stunning. He captures who Freddy Mercury was, down to every movement. He does an amazing job at embodying Mercury. Along with his co-stars, they perfectly capture the essence of Queen, only adding to the biopic. Not only that, but the film was beautifully shot. Bohemian Rhapsody is saturated in color that highlights the bands edgy-ness and allows the audience to feel as if they are physically at the concerts’ themselves. Of course, Queen’s biggest hits are featured throughout, just tying together the film perfectly.
Queen fans will definitely love it, but those who aren’t fans, are sure to change their mind after watching it! Be sure to check out the film, in theaters now!
