The superhero adventure series is making its long-awaited comeback! Written by Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy without any superpowers. One day, he is scouted by Japan's greatest hero, All Might, who gives his quirk to Midoriya. After obtaining his powers, the young boy starts his training at a prestigious high school fit for superheroes.
Reintroducing the World
While the two OVAs, "HLB" and "Laugh! As If You Are in Hell," are part of the My Hero Academia world, they may not provide any clues for the overall storyline of the show. However, these hilarious stories will have you rejoin the characters on a few adventures. Many of the OVAs not only offer bonus content but also expand the worlds like in Dragon Half and Attack on Titan.
Even though My Hero Academia has already come out with a few OVAs, this time around many fans are anticipating its release while waiting for season 6 of the anime releasing in October. The two OVAs, "Hero League Baseball" and "Laugh! As If You Are in Hell," have vastly different plots that involve a game of baseball and a criminal who makes people laugh uncontrollably.
Summary of the Episodes
The "Hero League of Baseball" episode is the last game of the championship between Gang Orca and Shishido's two rival agencies. In the world of HLB, using your quirks is recommended. But when the game is about to be over, a villain shows up.
In the "Laugh! As If You Are in Hell" episode, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki work in an internship. They are given a special task to find a villain who draws doodles in the city. However, the team realizes that 'Smiley' is much more powerful than meets the eye. Can the team stop laughing in order to capture the villain?
