We all love our four-legged friends and most dog owners can’t stand being away from their pups for even a short period of time.  We’ve done our research and found the best places that you and your four legged friend can enjoy together!

1. Thomas S. Stoll Park

Thomas S. Stoll Park, located off of 119th and Metcalf, features a large off-leash dog park. On rainy days, pet parents bring their pets to this park for some muddy fun. Thomas Stoll Park is perfect for any season. No matter how frigid, you’ll always find a few pet parents walking their dogs at this lovely park. The park has a trail, a small pond, two playgrounds, and a soccer field.

2. Mo Brew

Located on 39th street, Mo Brew has open patio seating on the outside of the bar, weather permitting. You’ll always find at least one dog hanging out with their owner at this cozy bar. Mo Brew features rare craft beers, the best happy hour menu featuring $1.50 burgers and $1.50 fries from 3pm-7pm on Monday thru Friday. There are water bowls for dogs conveniently placed around the 39th street bars, making this the perfect place to take your pup.

3. The Pet Ranch Dog Park

The Pet Ranch Dog Park is located off of 151st and Olathe. The park has 13 acres of free land for your dog to go wild. However, the dog park is exclusive and costs $35 a month. The park features a dog pond and even an agility course.

4. Marshalls

Did you know that your pup is allowed to go with you to Marshalls? The next time you go shopping, feel    free to bring your dog and while you’re at it, buy him a bone! Marshalls has a great selection of dog treats, clothing, and toys.

5. McCoy’s

Located in the heart of Westport, McCoy’s has a newly renovated patio that you and your dog will enjoy. Most servers are polite enough to ask if your dog needs a bowl of water on those hot summer days. Don’t forget to give your pooch a bite of that burger.

The River Market, located downtown, features many small restaurants with outdoor seating where you can relax with your dog while eating a delicious meal. 9. Kill Creek Streamway Park

If you’re willing to make a slight drive, Kill Creek Streamway has a gorgeous off leash dog park with a beautiful view. The park isn’t well-known unless you’re a De Soto local. The park features a stream as well as bridges for your pup to run around on! This quiet and serene park should most definitely be put on your bucket list.

10. Bark K Dog Bar

Located in the West Bottoms, this bar is also a dog park, restaurant, and coffee house! The park offers two acres of land for your four legged friend to run around. There is a separate area for big and small dogs as well as supervision from the staff. The Bark K Dog Bar also features a dog washing station, heaters, fans, and shelter.

It may seen obvious but Petsmart is a great place for your dog to socialize. Many of the Petsmart locations feature the Petshotel where your pup is able to play with other dogs in a playroom.   2. We are planning a trip to Kansas City between Christmas and New Years, are there indoor places that allow dogs? I have a miniture Schnauzer that is my support dog.

    1. @Sylvia Kessler, if the animal is a SD or an ESA all places are required to let you bring them in, as long as they are on lead (esa)
