- Move the furniture away from the windows. It’s the easiest option, but it’s not always the most practical. If you want to lower the exposure that your furniture has to the sun, then move it away from the windows if it’s likely to stain. - Consider solar blinds. If you want a neat look to your windows and you still want to block out the UV rays from the sun, solar blinds can make a difference and they are so easy to install. Given that they can come in many different colors and patterns, you can make your room look wonderful and help the windows to match your aesthetic while protecting your furniture.
- Move up the carpet. It’s not just furniture that you have to think about here, but your carpets. If you have carpet in the living room and you get bright sunshine laying through it during the day, you’re going to notice a patch of your carpet is going to lighten compared to the rest. By moving up your carpet and choosing to have vinyl flooring or even wooden flooring down, you will be able to prevent this from happening.
