While I was on my trip for the Ralph Breaks the Internet premiere ( read my “Ralph Breaks The Internet” Premiere Experience) I got the chance to experience Ralph Breaks VR.  I know you’re wondering what I am talking about here well I am going to do my best to put into words just how amazing this experience was.

About Ralph Breaks VR

Ralph Breaks VR is  the first of five hyper-reality experiences based on original Disney IP. ILMxLAB and The VOID are worked closely with Walt Disney Animation Studios to us the chance to step into the world of “Ralph Breaks the Internet.”

With this new experience we are able to truly showcase the capabilities of The VOID, allowing guests to once more step beyond reality.”

The Experience

With Ralph Breaks VR I really did step inside their world.  This was by far one of the coolest experiences I have ever done.  To get started you get into teams of four.  Everyone picks a card and that is the character you are during the expereince.  I had a pretty fun team if I do say so! Tessa (mamasgeeky.com), Tania (lolalambchops.com) & Patty (noguiltlife.com).  Tania and Patty both had characters with mustaches so that was pretty fun to see.

Once we were all geared up we were ready to enter the internet with our pals Wreck-it-Ralph and Vanellope.  You basically put on your gear as you can see above and you’ll walk into what almost looks like a maze area.  Everything changes once you put down your helmet and see the interactive world.

This is one of those experience that you just have to do to truly understand how amazing it is.  We had so much fun.  The guns you see pictured above were actually something we added as we were going through the experience.  They shoots pancakes and ice cream it was so much fun.  Patty won defeating us all by a landslide.  

The best way to describe the full experience is magical.  This was like nothing I had ever experience and I am always looking for new technology and things to try out.  I have never done something that felt so real.  There were times I actually felt like I was really in the internet with Ralph!

When we were done we were all ready for round two. That is how you know it was a success!! Also, I have to mention as someone who always gets motion sickness this did not cause me any sort of ill feeling.  I was a little worried going into it, but I can happily say I had no issues with that.  It was so fun and I can’t wait to do it again!
