Red, White, and Blue Layered Smoothie
This Red, White, and Blue Layered Smoothie is perfect for the summer and any 4th of July celebration! It’s super simple to make and looking so aesthetically pleasing when it’s done!
Whenever I think of summer, I think of smoothies! They are the perfect refresher after a hot day in the sun. Upon being invited to a 4th of July potluck party. I immediately knew that I would make smoothies, however, I wanted them to be both fun and red, white, and blue themed so I made this! This smoothie was an instant hit and gives you three separate, and equally tasting, flavors all in one smoothie. This smoothie was so simple to make, I even made extras for breakfast the next day. This will definitely become a staple for my summer smoothies!

This smoothie is perfect to bring to a small gathering or large party because it’s so easy to make. Double or even triple the recipe to provide smoothies of a bigger group of friends or family! This is also a great activity to do with kids that will allow their imagination to run wild thinking of countless combinations for each layer.
Red, White, and Blue Layered Smoothie Ingredients:
Let’s talk ingredients. To make this Red, White, and Blue Layered Smoothie you will need:
Blue Layer:
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Yogurt
1 Banana
1 Cup Blueberries
Optional Blue Food Coloring
White Layer:
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Yogurt
1 Banana
Red Layer:
1/2 Cup Milk
1/2 Yogurt
1 Banana
1/2 Cup Strawberries
1/2 Cup Raspberries
Optional Red Food Coloring
How To Make Red, White, and Blue Layered Smoothie:
1. Blend the Blue Layer. Blend the milk, yogurt, bananas and blueberries until smooth. You can add blue food coloring to give your smoothie a more vibrant blue color.
2. Pour. Pour the blue layer into your desired smoothie glass until it is 1/3 full.
3. Freeze. Freeze the blue layer in the freezer for 20 minutes. This will prevent the layers from mixing.
4. Blend the White Layer. Blend the milk, yogurt, and bananas until smooth.
5. Pour. Pour the white layer above the blue layer until the glass is 2/3 full.
6. Freeze Freeze the glass again, with both the blue and white layers, for 20 minutes.
7. Blend the Red Layer. Blend the milk, yogurt, bananas, strawberries, and raspberries until smooth. You can add red food coloring to give your smoothie a more vibrant red color.
8. Pour. Pour the red layer on top of the white one until your glass is full and enjoy.
Since this entire recipe is made from simple ingredients, it’s extremely easy to alter for dietary restrictions. You can use dairy-free milk and yogurt to make this recipe dairy-free and vegan. You can also use extra yogurt instead of bananas to make this recipe low carb for a veto diet.
