Riverdale Star Vanessa Morgan Welcomes First Child

Fans of The CW show Riverdale have reason to celebrate! Riverdale actress Vanessa Morgan and estranged husband Michael Kopech are officially parents! After dating, getting married, and even filing for divorce, the former couple welcomed a baby.

Vanessa Morgan Is A Mom

The 28-year-old Riverdale star is the proud mother of a baby boy!

A source revealed to E! News of Morgan’s new parenthood saying, “Vanessa had the baby, and Michael is with her as well. They’re both thrilled.” The actress and her former husband are currently keeping details of their baby private. Also, it is unknown what time Vanessa gave birth.

Shortly before her son’s birth, Vanessa announced that she was officially starting her maternity leave. Revealing this on Instagram she shared, “Feeling grateful to my showrunner & producers for being so accommodating & writing my pregnancy into the show! Also proud of my body for allowing me to still work almost 9 months preggo. Now time to have a baby! lol”

Family Life

Vanessa Morgan is welcoming her child only six months after the baby’s father, MLB professional Michael Kopech filed for divorce on June 19, 2020. The couple dated over a year before getting married in January 2020.

While the pair has not commented on the divorce, Vanessa did confirm that Michael is the baby’s father. Michael is staying out of the public eye and has also not commented on Morgan’s pregnancy. Also, Kopech did not participate in the 2020 MLB season, but he is expected to rejoin the Chicago White Sox this year.

Fortunately, Vanessa Morgan seems to have had a happy pregnancy, celebrating milestones and doctor’s appointments along the way. Back in August 202, she shared an ultrasound photo of her son, calling him a “little kicker.”

While Riverdale fans are waiting to hear from Vanessa herself, we can all wish mom and baby the very best.
