The Scoop on Disney's Aladdin Teaser Trailer

Remember when we mentioned Disney’s Aladdin was getting a live-action makeover? Stop waiting and wishing for it to arrive because the teaser trailer is here!

From what we can tell, this live-action version of Aladdin has all the beauty of past live-action remakes while paying tribute to the animated original. We couldn’t help but get super excited to see Iago flying over the city and near the cave. Or should we say the cave. The Cave of Wonders with its tiger entrance growls the like that every Aladdin fan knows. It can be kind of hard to hear in the trailer but the tiger announces that “Only one may enter here, one whose worth lies deep within, a diamond in the rough.”

Check out the trailer to get your first look at Iago, the Cave of Wonders, and Mena Massoud as Aladdin! We really look forward to seeing Naomi Scott’s Jasmine, and how intense Marwan Kenzari’s Jafar will be. Oh, and we can’t forget Will Smith and his role as Genie.

Speaking of Genie, Disney also released the poster which gives us a great look at the magic lamp! It’s so ornate and wonderful that you almost forget there’s a trail of smoke coming out of it. If that’s any hint at what we can expect from Genie’s smoke and illusions it’s going to be magical!
