The Scoop On Izzy Goodkind
For those who watched the Bachelor in Paradise season 3, you’ll remember a certain oh-so-charming girl with a contagious smile and even more contagious presence. Izzy Goodkind showed us all the importance of giving love a chance and embracing all life has to offer.
Not only was Izzy the girl who rocked a bikini from every angle, she was the girl that got along with everyone. The one who handled the reality show experience with grace, integrity, and heart. Basically, Izzy iz the shiz (sorry, had to) and definitely someone we wanted to ‘get the scoop’ on.
Want to know more? This crazy busy graphic designer/jet setter/city-livin’/fro-yo lovin’ trendsetter took the time to let us in on her life. Check out our Q&A with Izzy below!
-Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a small beach town, on the Long Island Sound in Connecticut, called Stony Creek. I loved growing up on the water, especially in the summer – there was always something to do!
-What college did you attend and what did you study?
In 2009, I attended The New England School of Art and Design in Boston, MA. I graduated in 2013 with an BFA in Graphic Design.
– What inspired you to go on the bachelor?
Honestly – I applied on a whim, after breaking up with my college boyfriend. I was watching Chris Soules season, and thought “why not…?”. Never did I think I would be contacted – never the less, about two years later!
-How did the bachelor impact your life?
I went into the show knowing that they could really take you and make you into anyone they wanted – by editing your film. Knowing this – I went into the experience, comfortable and confident in who I am (something I think many of the girls, unfortunately struggle with after watching themselves back) and didn’t show any side of me that was out of character! Through this I remained true to myself.
-Who is your celebrity crush?
Ahhh celebrity crush- I loooove Bradley Cooper.
-Describe your ideal first date (regular life or bachelor style).
Don’t get me wrong – who doesn’t love to be wined and dined (Bachelor style) but for me, a simple dinner and drinks is good enough for me. Good conversation to truly get to know someone is very important to me.
-What have you been doing since the bachelor ended?
After Bachelor in Paradise, I went right back to work, almost immediately. I love what I do and can’t live without creativity. I am a graphic designer at Kate Spade New York in the city and couldn’t be happier.
-What’s your dream vacation and who would you want to go with?
I have been so lucky to have traveled a lot with my family growing up, as well as when I studied abroad in college. But at this moment in my life I would love a very relaxing beach vacation with my boyfriend… Bora Bora or Fiji!?
-What is on your bucket list?
I just recently went to Israel and went in the Dead Sea – it was such an amazing experience. That was definitely something I checked off! Next, I want to go sky diving…although I have signed up twice and backed out both times!
-What are your must have beauty products?
I don’t wear a lot of make-up but my must haves are my Giorgio Armani luminous silk foundation – suuuper light-weight almost like a tinted moisturizer with a little bare minerals bronzer, Benefit mascara and I’m good to go!
-What’s a quote or saying you live by?
Stay true to yourself.
-What is your ultimate guilty pleasure?
I can’t even say its guilty – I eat fro-yo more than twice a week. Haha
-Any advice for the single ladies reading this article?
Yes of course 🙂 SINGLE LADIESSS …
1. You don’t need a man to be happy.
2. Again, stay true to yourself and do not let any (man) change you.
3. Be YOU, be confident and love yourself FIRST.
