The Scoop On Second Wives Club Veronika Obeng

Veronika Obeng is a star on the reality TV series, Second Wives Club. Previously married to Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Michael Obeng, Veronika is now making a name for herself. Check out my interview with the beautiful Veronika Obeng!

What has your experience on Second Wives Club been like so far?

My experience with Second Wives Club has been so positive. So many women have reached out to support me or to tell me their own stories. I really love my cast mates, they are genuine friends- well Shiva and Katie. Overall, I love being apart of SWC and would do it again without a doubt.

Did you expect all this to happen when you signed up for the show?

I didn’t expect for my marriage to implode or to be forced into sharing such raw, personal stories. I thought I would be detailing a solid marriage, my family, and the businesses that I helped build while hanging out with my girlfriends. I was blind sided by the drama.

How have you been handling the divorce?

Divorce is hard. I’m so glad I took the steps to move on with my life, but I didn’t visualize divorce being so brutal both in court and emotionally. I feel stronger everyday and I’m looking forward to officially putting the marriage behind me. A major focus right now is just helping my children adapt to such new surroundings and two separate households.

Do you have any words for Michael?

I forgive him for everything he did. We don’t speak really ever. I’d just want him to know that I’ve moved on and despite everything that he did, I just want to move past it and efficiently co-​parent our beautiful children. He broke my heart so deeply, but I’d want him to know I’m not his enemy.

What’s a day in your life like?

Lord, kids, kids, driving, kids, omg, what time is it, conference calls, emails, don’t touch that, where are your clothes, go to bed, cuddles, kisses, crying, more kisses, wine, pass out. Repeat. Literally, everyday. I’m a beautiful mess of doing my best, flashes of greatness, failures, and trying to be better at all of it the next day.

You run your own blog. Tell us a little bit about that.

Well my blog came from the hilarious things that literally happen to me everyday. Motherhood is strange. It’s hard, it’s fun, kids are pure comedy and stress all rolled into one ball of love. I just wanted a place to share my experiences and the things I thought women might care about. It’s just a very honest snap shot of modern womanhood and mommying that I thought could be a fun place to scroll through late at night while drinking wine alone.

How is motherhood?

Motherhood is the most amazing thing I could ever hope to do with my life. My children teach me so much. I adore each child in so many different ways and I couldn’t be more blessed. I couldn’t imagine life without my five children and all the love and joy they bring me.  It’s so crazy busy but it keeps me in great shape.

What can we expect from you in the future?

Hopefully more Second Wives Club, a completely revamped blog, and a new business that I’m working to launch. I knew nothing about medicine when I got married and with hard work and intelligence, I helped build a multi-million dollar plastic surgery practice in Beverly Hills. I’m using that same grit and wit to build something new, something that genuinely belongs to me.

Do you have a final message you’d like to share with your fans?

I’d say thank you for watching Second Wives Club and seeing the women behind the mask of money and status.  I’m thankful for all the warm messages and support, and hope to share even more with you very soon.
