I always associate August and September with back to school time. Even though I am long gone from my “Back to School” days, as the end of August rolls around, I can’t help but think about all the kids buying school supplies and moving into college. Maybe it is because I was once a school teacher or was in school for years. Anyway, back to school means it is time for new school supplies, clothes and haircuts.

Now instead of preparing myself for school, I take this time of year to indulge in myself a little bit and take some time for self care, starting with my hair. For my haircuts I like to go to SmartStyle salons. They are affordable, easy to locate and the staff is always friendly! I like to do this in August or September because it is after the summer months and my hair always needs a good cut and conditioning treatment. The hot and humid summer months aren’t always the nicest to our hair so spoiling it with a nice cut and condition can go a long way!

At SmartStyle salons, you can receive multiple different services including cuts, colors, conditioning treatments, waxes and many more. However, the most recent time I went in I was looking for a conditioning treatment and a haircut. I have the worst split ends and, as I said, the summer heat was not nice to my hair! I have long brown hair and my friend who joined me has long blonde hair. Her hair always lightens in the sun during the summer so we were both in dire need of deep conditioning!

I love my fresh cut and am extremely happy with the services I received at the SmartStyle hair salon.  I was in and out quickly and the convince of it being in Walmart was great!
