#Suburbicon Movie Review
Both Matt Damon and George Clooney worked together on a new movie? Yes please!! Suburbicon tells the tale of a “calm” suburban neighborhood that gets turned upside down with the surprising death of one of its own residents. The suspense builds throughout the movie and you’ll be sitting on the edge of your seat for its entire duration.
Matt Damon plays the typical yet slightly psychotic father, Gardner Lodge. Although he may seem like a completely normal guy, he has his fair share of secrets. There’s no telling what he’ll do in order to get what he wants. Matt Damon is an incredible actor that can pull off just about any role, and Gardner Lodge is just one of many examples. He is the able to accomplish the perfect mix of insanity and humor, and his acting is extremely well-received by the audience. Damon’s female counterpart, Julianne Moore is just as extraordinary in her role as Margaret Lodge. Moore’s acting skills are incredible and she is able to portray a complex character such as this one. Together, these two make an unstoppable team.
One of my favorite aspects of the film was the incredibly realistic suburban neighborhood. This town closely resembled one from the 1950s and I loved seeing all of the old cars, clothes, and even televisions. I especially enjoyed seeing how much the styles have changed from then to now. If you want to take a look into the past, then Suburbicon is the movie for you!
This movie was funny yet thrilling, and I would highly recommend that you all watch it while you can. Make sure to see Suburbicon, in theaters on October 27th!
